There’s a known bug that Hot/Active is surfacing old posts. I’ve taken to sorting by Top X or New Comments for the time being.

Are you just going around to year+ old threads and posting on them?

Check the GitHub if a feature req. for this exists. If it doesn’t, then add one. The developers aren’t likely to see your random comments on ancient posts.
