When I’m logged in I see the mod’s username.
edit: actually I see the mod names when logged into an app, but not directly via the web UI.

you as an instance admin can see who did a moderation action, but this is not generally visible to other users.
Eh? Since when is the modlog hidden from users? I can see the modlog on lemmy.world and I’m not an admin. I don’t even have to be logged in.
Baron is from Brian Blessed as Voltan in Flash Gordon yelling “BARINNNNNNNN” at Timothy Dalton, and not knowing it was spelled with an “i” instead.
+1 on checking in Pixelfed. Lemmy -> Instagram isn’t comparable user experience. But given the closing comment about “local stuff and people I know” then odds are they won’t be on Pixelfed either.
