Well, I’ve turned on that feature as a test (after the question was posted) and I saw your reply just fine. That’s no difference from how it’s been before I turned on the feature.

What has never worked for me (I’m not sure if it’s a bug or by design) is a notification for a reply to your reply. I only ever see notifications of direct replies, not indirect ones.

In other words, if someone replies directly to me, I know about it, but if someone replies to that reply, I don’t.

You have the option to hide read posts.

Machine Learning might be marketed as “all fine and dandy”, but I’m not planning on running a monitor training system loose on my production server under any circumstances.

Not to mention that for it to be useful I’d have to give it at least a year of logs, which is both impossible and pointless, since the system running a year ago is not remotely the same as the one running today, even if not a single piece of our own code changed, which of course it did, the OS, applications and processes have been continually updated by system updates and security patches.

In my understanding, deleting (and moderation) are pretty much unsolved mysteries on this platform.

For example, last I heard, an administrator has to drop into a command line to delete media from removed posts, otherwise they’d still be accessible if the URL was known. (Think illegal material.)

Filtering is similarly done at the client end, so that’s fun.

Note that I’m not associated with the source code, only as a user and am repeating things I’ve observed, read, or have been told. YMMV.

I use “Connect” and it has all those filters.
